Larry Glover Live

Larry Glover is an award winning talk radio show host based in Lexington, Kentucky.   He brings a style that is unique to Sports Talk.   He blends information, opinions and humor into an entertaining common sense approach that his listeners have come to enjoy.

His peers have also taken notice by naming him the 2008 Kentucky Sportscaster of the Year.

Larry was always a fan of sports on the radio.  As a kid growing up in Hawesville, Kentucky, he was an avid listener of Marty Brennaman and the Cincinnati Reds.  He dreamt, even then, of one day sitting behind a microphone.

Glover’s big break in radio came after college when he won a contest and got the chance to host a show.  He did so well, that the station offered him a job the next day.

Since that first opportunity, Larry has performed talk radio, high school and college play-by-play and he even spent five years anchoring post game shows for the University of Kentucky Radio Network.

Larry left all of that behind to realize a childhood dream of broadcasting baseball when he was named the first radio voice of the Lexington Legends.  Glover spent seven seasons and nearly 1,000 games at Applebee’s Park before returning to his radio roots.

Larry left to take over the weekday drive time slot on 590, WVLK in January of 2008.

Glover inherited the program SportsCentral 590, WVLK and dramatically expanded listenership making AM-590 the number one spot for sports fans in the Lexington/Fayette County market.

His former program, Sunday Sports Central, dominated his time slot for 13 years, earning more than 3 times more listeners than his closest competitor.

In 2010, Larry started his own production company, Kate Media, and acquired the right’s to Sports Central 590.  Glover has since rebranded the show as Larry Glover Live.
